For this model, we will use a curve-fitted function based on measured data points to model the speed-torque curve. In addition, we will model the electric motor efficiency map as a lookup table to capture it's nonlinearity. Here, we will plot the maximum torque curve alongside the nonlinear efficiency map. The maximum torque-speed function is defined as:

Dodge doesn't have an SUV the size of the Expedition, but it gained access to a piece of the special service and police pie via a Pursuit version of the Durango. Introduced in 2019, the Mopar hauler tackled the law enforcement market with AWD and a selection of V6 and V8 powerplants.

Photo: More cylinders mean more power. 1) White: A 4-cylinder, 48hp Morris Minor engine from the 1960s. This engine is so incredibly tiny, it really looks like there's something missing—but it can still manage a top speed close to 125 km/h (80mph). 2) Red: A huge V12 Jaguar XJS sports car engine from the mid/late 1970s gives a top speed of about 240 km/h (140 mph). It's something like 300hp (about six times more powerful than the Morris engine). Apart from the number of cylinders, the engines also differ in their cylinder designs. The Morris engine is "undersquare," which means it has quite narrow (small-bore) cylinders that push the piston a long distance (stroke). The Jaguar engine is "oversquare," with wider cylinders whose pistons don't push so far. These terms are explained more fully below.

T hink back 100 years to a world where people generally got around by walking or riding horses. What changed things? The invention of the car. Wheels may be 5500 years old, but the cars we drive round in today made their debut only in 1885. That was when German engineer Karl Benz (1844–1929) fastened a small gasoline (petrol) engine to a three-wheeled cart and made the first primitive, gas-powered car. Although Benz developed the automobile, another German engineer, Nikolaus Otto (1832–1891), was arguably even more important—for he was the man who'd invented the gasoline engine in the first place, about two decades earlier. It's a testament to Otto's genius that virtually every car engine made ever since has been inspired by his "four-stroke" design. Let's take a look at how it works!
Anything other than gasoline in the gas tank can ruin car engine. Putting Sugar, water, salt, and sticky liquid in a gas tank will clog up the fuel filter. And there are many ingredients and liquids which are capable of ruining your car’s engine fast.
Another thing that diesel owners should do when they get a check-up is to have their fluid levels checked. This includes checking the coolant/antifreeze level in their radiator along with making sure that there's enough power steering fluid in the system and enough brake fluid to stop the vehicle when necessary. The reason diesel engines can be so difficult to start when they're cold is that there's a lot of pressure involved in the system, and if any one of these fluids runs low or completely disappears, then you'll have some problems starting up your vehicle until it's refilled.
When it comes to EV styling, it isn’t just about making sure it doesn’t look like a gasoline car, but doing what’s needed because it also doesn’t work like a gasoline car.

First, it will make it abundantly obvious if you have a leak – whether internal or external. Your system should hold pressure. If it doesn’t, you have a leak somewhere.

Oversteer is more common in rear-wheel-drive vehicles, though it can occur and be initiated in front-wheel and all-wheel-drive vehicles as well. You can learn more about oversteer here.
Buy a can of aerosol rust penetrant and a can of spray white lithium grease. Start by soaking the latch mechanism with the rust penetrant. If you can’t open the hood at all, slide the spray straw into the grille and aim it up toward the latch. Then shoot about a half can of lube onto the latch. Let it soak for an hour. If it opens after that, move on to the next step. If not, repeat the procedure. Once the hood opens, soak the hood latch mechanism with white lithium grease. Then close and open the hood multiple times until the latch works smoothly. Apply fresh grease every year before winter.

A diesel engine is a very unique piece of equipment. It's not like the typical gasoline-powered automobile that you can just hop into and drive whenever the mood strikes. No, a diesel engine is a lot more complex than that, and there are some things that you simply have to know before going on any road trip in a car with a diesel engine underneath the hood, or operating heavy-duty diesel equipment. In this article by JD Diagnostics & Diesel Repair, written in partnership with Dieselmatic, we share some information about a few tips to keep your diesel engine running smoothly for as long as possible.
