Flush with Failure

Post by darbestvard »

The casino was my downfall. Alex here, threw my life away at the roulette wheel.
Constantly, the poker tables whispered promises. The call of "place your bets" was my siren's call.
My wife, Maria, urged me to abandon the roulette wheel, but I was too far gone.
On that fateful night at the lavish casino resort, I put on the line all we had: our security, our residence - on a "sure thing" bet.
My poker hand was beaten and the house always wins.
Returning to our house with the bitter taste of defeat, I found only a note: "I can't do this anymore. Your obsession with poker has destroyed us."
Alone in an desolate space, I understood that chasing the big win deprived me of all that was real.
Health experts recognized a serious mood disorder, worsened by my casino obsession.
Now, all the time is a challenge not just with the lure of the roulette wheel, but with the all-consuming melancholy in my mind. Is there any way I can climb out of this black hole shaped by the relentless pursuit of the next win?
